Thought for Today
From The Works Of Rev. M.L. Fauss (1906-1984)

Remember, the pleasures of sin are for a season, but its wages are for eternity! This thought is itself a quotation from God’s word in James 1:19. It has been well said that God has given us two ears and one mouth because He wants us to hear more than we speak. Luke 8:18: Jesus said, Take heed how ye hear. There was an old gentleman who was remarkable for his gentleness, as a young man he was known to have had a violent temper. When asked how he managed to overcome his bad temper, his answer was short and wise. He said, “By praying to God and speaking low.” When persons are angry, they raise their voices and speak loud. To overcome anger and learn the lessons of gentlness. We must “Pray to God and speak low!”
