Too many people conduct their lives on the cafeteria plan, self-service only!Philippians 2:3-4: Don't be selfish; Don't live to make an impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don't just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing. Mark 10:45: (King James) For even the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many. Any selfish withdrawal from those who need us is contrary to the example of our Lord. Although He often sought the solitude of some desert place to commune with the heavenly Father, He never isolated himself from people. This was a self-giving love. A total involvement in the lives of others.
